Palm island

The most talked-about project on the Dubai tourism scene is Palm Island, the multi-billion (US) Dollar project to expand luxury hotel and beach offerings in the municipality on the worlds largest man-made island.

 

The massive project calls for two islands, shaped like palm trees, to be built in the Arabian Gulf off the coast of Dubai.

 


Dubai Internet City

The city created the Dubai Technology, Electronic Commerce and Media Free Zone (TECOM), which includes Dubai Internet City – the worlds first free-trade zone for e-commerce.

 

Dubai Media City

Opened in 2001, Dubai Media City is rapidly emerging as a global media hub.



 

 
Burj Dubai

The announcement in May 2003 of the plan to build  the world’s tallest structure on Sheikh Zayed Road, the Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower). The tower’s base and geometry reflects the six petal desert flower of the region. The base of the Burj Dubai “blossoms” and allows  the tower a graceful transition from the ground.
