A Traveller’s Guide to Islamic Holidays in the UAE
Today marks the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan in the UAE. In observance of this solemn period of prayer and fasting, a number of tourism operations will be adjusted across our destinations.
In general, no live entertainment of any form will be available all throughout the Holy Month (including those featured in desert safari and dhow cruise activities); and dining experiences will either be limited to certain hours or will be cancelled entirely. We have been sending out advisories regarding changes in operations and opening hours. We will continue to update you as we receive more information.
It is also important to remember the Ramadan Etiquette that is expected of everyone visiting Arabia during this period. We have prepared a document, “A Traveller’s Guide on Islamic Holidays”, which you may use as reference and share with your guests.
The guide includes essential information about the Holy Month, the Do’s and Don’ts, and a list of other important dates in the Islamic calendar. Click on the button below to view the guide.
Should you have any questions or need clarification, feel free to get in touch with our travel consultants and representatives. You may also wish to coordinate with them in ensuring that guests are properly briefed of any changes.
